With a long winter and a cooler than normal spring, it was starting to seem as though we really were getting back on the right path…

But if you think this is an old photo from January, just posted today (May 18, 2013), I’m sorry to inform you that, unfortunately, your assumption is sadly incorrect. at Nickell Circle – View on Path.

Making sweet noise on the Moog… the possibilities are truly endless. #moog #voyager #selectseries

Minimoog synth goodness… maple and jade.

Minimoog Voyages Select… my Maple and Jade arrived today. Simply awesome sounds!

Not happy this morning… They have been working on the well for a week. Removed the building and excavated around the casing. A big hole is open. Water has been off a couple of days while I was gone; there was air in the lines when I got home.

Yesterday, there was lots of construction activity when I got home, and no water. They worked till about 23:30, then it got quiet.

Got up at 02:30 and no water. At 07:45, still no one working to restore!
Hopefully it will be fixed today… at Nickell Circle – Read on Path.

A beautiful day in the neighborhood… (Taken with Instagram at Midnight Sun Brewing Company)

Ok, here it is… First snow in Anchorage at 23:47 on September 28! at Nickell Circle – View on Path.

Picked up a cool little gadget at REI today. It’s the Delorme inReach two-way communicator using the Iridium constellation. Activated and sent a couple of test messages while it sat in the rain on the deck.

Seems to work well, but there are a ton of options to set it up online to really take full advantage of the capabilities and map track sharing.

I sure wish I would have had this on the trip through Denali a couple of weeks ago… – View on Path.

Going down… (Taken with Instagram at BP Exploration)

Now that it is getting light, some of the damage can be seen from the horrific winds last night that wreaked havoc on the area. Lost several more trees, looks like a dozen or so in the woods. Some simply snapped off, but several others were just uprooted.

Power went off after several drops at 22:06 last night. Flashed for less than 30 seconds about 05:45 this morning.

Flashed again at 07:22, but heard a loud POP a short time later. Chugach must be getting close…

Of course, no water, and temp is 53F outside, and 60F inside. At least it’s not winter (yet.) at Nickell Circle – View on Path.
